But just when everything seems to be going well, tragedy strikes and they are torn apart. Will they be able to overcome the challenges that life throws at them and find their way back to each other? 2. Crash Landing on You

Ya'll - this Kdrama lives up to the hype! 🙌

I remember watching this when it aired on Netflix and the suspense of waiting for each episode to drop was painful!! This is the ultimate love story that transcends borders and cultures. It follows the journey of a South Korean heiress who accidentally crash-lands in North Korea...yep NORTH KOREA!!! She is rescued by a North Korean soldier who takes her under his wing and helps her navigate life in a foreign land. As they spend more time together, they begin to develop feelings for each other. But with political tensions rising, their love is put to the ultimate test. If you haven't watched this Kdrama yet - please do - it is absolutely the standard by which all Kdramas should be written

3. Empress Ki

This is a Saeguk and one of the best there is! If you love historical kdramas, this is a must-watch! It tells the story of a woman (aka BOSS) who rises from humble beginnings to become the empress of the Yuan dynasty. Yep -- you read that right, a Korean woman who goes from servant to Empress of a Mongol Dynasty. Did I mention Ji Chang Wook was in this and is the Emperor?? HEART THROB!! Back to the story....along the way, she faces many challenges and obstacles, but her strong will and determination help her overcome them all. The romance in this kdrama is not your typical fairytale love story. It's intense and passionate, filled with betrayal and heartbreak. But in the end, love triumphs over all.

4. The Great Queen Seonduk

This is another Saeguk however I do NOT recommend watching this one after Empress Ki. Give yourself a break because ...trust me, you'll need it!

Anyhoo - this historical kdrama is set in the ancient kingdom of Silla and follows the story of two women who compete for the throne. The main character, Seonduk, is a princess who is forced to flee her home after her father is overthrown. The second one is Mishil - this woman is treacherous and is the Villains of all Villains! She grows up to become a great leader and eventually returns to claim her rightful place on the throne. The romance in this kdrama is very subtle yet beautiful, and the action is intense and exciting. If you're looking for an intense romance - this is not the one.

5. Goblin

Don't let the name of this Kdrama SCARE you off! 😍

This is a fantasy romance kdrama that will take you on a magical journey. It tells the story of a goblin who has been cursed to live forever, and the woman who can break the curse. Along the way, they encounter many challenges and obstacles, but their love for each other remains steadfast. The cinematography in this kdrama is breathtaking, and the performances by the actors are top-notch. Grab some tissue, grab some popcorn and grab your favorite Gong Yoo body pillow because you'll need it when you're cuddling up on the couch watching this kdrama!

6. Mr. Queen

Okay - so full disclosure, I wasn't sure I was going to like this kdrama. The whole body switching thing was weird to me and I wasn't sure if I'd like the lead female. 😉

If you're on the fence after the first two episodes, PLEASE KEEP WATCHING!!

This kdrama is a unique twist on the time-travel genre. It follows the story of a man from the modern era who finds himself trapped inside the body of a queen from the Joseon dynasty. As he navigates the unfamiliar world around him, he begins to develop feelings for the king. The romance in this kdrama is unconventional and heartwarming, and the comedy is laugh-out-loud funny. Seriously...you will laugh a lot and if you're watching this at night...be prepared to wake up the household.

7. Secret Garden

This drama is an oldy but GOLDEY and one of my faves of all time. It was actually one of the first Kdramas I watched with Kim Hyun Bin It's a classic love story that will have you swooning. It tells the story of a wealthy man and a poor stuntwoman who switch bodies after a chance encounter. As they navigate each other's lives, they begin to fall in love. But with their different backgrounds and social status, their love is put to the test. The chemistry between the two main leads is electric, and the music in this drama is unforgettable.

8. Crowned clown

This kdrama was so good my husband stopped and watched it with me....the whole thing! 😍

Also If you find Saeguks hard to understand - I promise you will not have that issue with this one!  🙌

"Crowned Clown" is a historical drama set in the Joseon dynasty that tells the story of a king (played by Yeo Jin-goo) who fears for his life and hires a clown (also played by Yeo Jin-goo) to take his place. The clown, who looks identical to the king, must navigate the dangerous world of politics and power while trying to protect his own life.

The acting in this drama is superb, particularly Yeo Jin-goo's dual role as both the king and the clown. The plot is full of political intrigue, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. The romance in this drama is also touching, with a heart-wrenching love triangle that will leave you rooting for your favorite couple.

9. Welcome 2 life

So I may be biased on this one because I'm a HUGE fan of Kpop superstar RAIN. Aaaand....he just happens to be the lead in this kdrama!  👀

"Welcome 2 Life" is a legal thriller kdrama that tells the story of a hotshot lawyer named Lee Jae-sang (played by Rain) who learns the hard way that money and power can't buy happiness. After a near-death experience, he wakes up in an alternate reality where he is a public defender instead of a corporate lawyer.

The drama explores themes of redemption and second chances, as Lee Jae-sang must learn to use his legal skills for good instead of evil. The romance in this kdrama is also top-notch, with a swoon-worthy love interest (played by Lim Ji-yeon) who helps Lee Jae-sang see the error of his ways. The legal cases in this drama are also intriguing, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. Seriously - if you don't like kdramas with all of the legal jargon - please give this one a chance.  I'm so glad I did because Kdramas with a bunch of legal jargon are usually boring to me but this kdrama had less jargon and tons of action!

10. My Love from another star

"My Love From Another Star" is a romantic fantasy kdrama that tells the story of an alien named Do Min-joon (played by Kim Soo-hyun) who has been living on Earth for 400 years. He falls in love with a top actress named Cheon Song-yi (played by Jun Ji-hyun) and must navigate the challenges of being an alien in a human world while trying to protect his love.

The acting in this AMAZING, particularly Kim Soo-hyun's portrayal of the stoic but sensitive Do Min-joon. The romance between the two leads is also touching, with plenty of heart-wrenching moments that will leave you reaching for the tissues. The fantasy elements in this drama are also well-done, with plenty of special effects to bring the alien world to life. Overall, "My Love From Another Star" is a must-watch for anyone who loves a good romantic fantasy with a unique twist. Oh and did I mention the soundtrack is amazing? I seriously have it on repeat!
